The University of Ibadan (UI) is the oldest Nigerian university. The origins of the university are in Yaba College, founded in 1932 in Yaba, Lagos,as the first tertiary educational institute in Nigeria. Yaba College was transferred to Ibadan, becoming the University College of Ibadan, in 1948. The university was founded on its own site on 17 November 1948. It is popularly known as Unibadan or UI.

WHAT IS SCHOOL FEES

Banks to Pay UI School Fees

UI School fees are to be paid at any of the bank branches (nationwide):

• Mainstreet Bank, Wema Bank
• First Bank
• Stanbic IBTC
• UI Microfinance Bank.

Late payment would attract extra charges and failure to pay the fees on time would lead to the student inability to seat for their semester examination.

University of Ibadan (UI) Hostel Accommodation Fee

The university of Ibadan hostel accommodation fee is not compulsory for all students, only about 30% of UI students are presently occupying the school hostel

how much is the hostel accommodation fee for University of Ibadan UI? The fee is 30,000 although it was 14,000 previously before it was hike to 30,000.
Please note that once this fee is paid you will be given a bed space inside the school hostel.
