The University of Ibadan (UI) is the oldest Nigerian university. The origins of the university are in Yaba College, founded in 1932 in Yaba, Lagos,as the first tertiary educational institute in Nigeria. Yaba College was transferred to Ibadan, becoming the University College of Ibadan, in 1948. The university was founded on its own site on 17 November 1948. It is popularly known as Unibadan or UI.

How To Calculate Your UI Aggregate/Average Score

To know your average score is quite easy, simply follow the guideline and example outlined below carefully to check yours.

8 ÷ Your JAMB Score = ?

2 ÷ Your UI Post UTME Score= ?

?? + 2 = your average score

EXAMPLE:

Your JAMB Score = 200

Your Post UTME Score = 55

SOLUTION:

200 ÷ 8 = 25

55 ÷ 2 = 27.5

25 + 27.5 = 52.5

Your Aggregate/Average Score is 52.5 and this is what determines if you are up to your departmental cut off mark.

N/B: It is very easy to obtain admission if one has met the required cut off mark for admission into a particular course.

University of Ibadan Post UTME Eligibility:

  • Candidates who score exactly or above the required cut off mark.
  • Candidates who chose University of Ibadan as their preferred choice of institution during the UTME Registration.
  • Candidates are also required to obtain the required O’level credits for their programmes as specified in JAMB Brochure.
  • Candidate must be at least 16 year of age
  • Interested Candidates who did not choose University of Ibadan during the UTME Registration but wish to study in the University, should change to the UI via JAMB website.
