PGDE Programme:
Our Postgraduate Diploma in Education teaches an approach that will stay with its students throughout their careers. You’ll learn everything the qualified teacher needs to know about planning, teaching, learning, assessing, policies and processes. Our focused and flexible NUC accredited programme will deliver the knowledge and skills you need to advance your career whenever and wherever it’s convenient for you.
Candidates who possess the following qualifications are eligible for admission into the programme:
- Higher National Diploma (HND)
- Bachelor’s, Masters or Doctorate degree in any field
*If English and Mathematics are missing, applicants will be required to sign an undertaking at the point of screening which will state that the missing subjects’ results will be provided before graduation.
MBA Programme:
The ABU Distance Learning Center MBA is designed to provide the ability to obtain a master’s degree from an NUC Accredited business school no matter where you live. Focused and flexible, the highly ranked programme delivers the knowledge and skills you need to advance your career whenever and wherever it’s convenient for you.
- Any 5 O’Level credits in no more than 2 sittings.
- NYSC certificate (or exemption letter) especially for applicants under 30 years. Graduates from NOUN, other distance learning centers within or outside the country are exempted from this requirement.
- Bachelor’s degree in any field with at least a second class lower or 2.40 Cumulative Grade Point Average from any recognized University.
- Bachelor’s degree in any field with 3rd class plus 5 years post-graduation experience or a 3rd class with a Postgraduate Diploma.
- HND holders from any recognized Polytechnic with a minimum of Lower Credit who are holders of either a Post Graduate Diploma or any recognized professional certificates such as ANAN, ACIB and ACA etc may be considered.

– ABU DLC admission screening and semester examinations are held in Abuja, Gombe, Lagos, Port Harcourt and Zaria with more to come. Giving you the flexibility to select your screening and examination venues.
– Students are also grouped (for examinations) into weekday and weekend groups, giving you the flexibility to choose whichever is more convenient for you.
– You are at liberty to extend your study period (twice the advertised duration) or fast track it by participating in the 3rd Semesters which allows you to graduate I as little as 18 months.
– There are 4 study options to choose from (hard copies, e-copies, Audio and videos).
– On campus students facing challenges with keeping up on campus are free to transfer their studies to the Distance Learning option.
2. Same curriculum and certificate as on campus students upon completion of studies:
– Your admission, study and graduation requirements are the same with the corresponding on campus programme.
– Upon graduation, you will be issued the same certificate as on campus students, signed by the Vice Chancellor and Registrar of the University. Online or e-learning will not be written on your certificate.
3. Work and learn with no need to commute or relocate:
– Relocating to or frequently commuting to and from Zaria is not required as our courses are administered entirely online. Allowing you to maintain your job/business while earning a degree.
