Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) is a government-owned and operated Nigerian university established in on 1 January 1988 by the Federal Government when four universities of technology, earlier merged in 1984, were demerged. This led to the creation of the first two universities of agriculture in Abeokuta and Makurdi. The university was located in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria. Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta offer various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

The University will become a beehive of activities with the resumption of students for the 2020/2021 Academic Session. Senate at its 222nd Statutory Meeting held on Monday, October 4, 2021 approved the Calendar for the 2020/2021 Academic Session.
In preparation for the commencement of the new Academic Session, the University Management in its proactive nature embarked on fixing the deplorable Alabata-Camp road to allow for ease of vehicular movement for the new and returning students as well as members of the University Community and the general public.
The University Management has also put in place measures to ensure the safety of students in line with the COVID-19 protocols.
The Academic Session which began in earnest on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 with the registration, medical screening, ICT and VLE training and orientation for fresh students is expected to last till Friday, November 5, 2021.
