Imo State Polytechnic is a higher education institute in Umuagwo, Imo State, Nigeria. It was established in 1978 as the Michael Okpara College of Agriculture, Umuagwo and was upgraded to a Polytechnic status, renamed as the Imo State Polytechnic, Umuagwo in 2007. The polytechnic has been official accredited and/or recognized by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) to offer National Diploma and Higher National Diploma Programmes.

The management of the Imo State Polytechnic, Umuagwo has released the cut-off mark for the 2024/2025 admission exercise. Imo State Poly general Post-UTME minimum cut-off mark for the 2024/2025 academic session is 100 and above.
This will be the JAMB score that will be used for admission into Imo State Polytechnic for the 2024/2025 academic session.

Imo State Polytechnic, Umuagwo does not really have a specific cut off mark for courses.
This means that Imo State Poly cut off mark is 100 for the 2024/2025 academic session’s admission exercise
Due to the high number of students wishing to study at the polytechnic, the admission processes are competitive and an admission is given based on JAMB score and O’level grades.

Imo State Polytechnic Post UTME Eligibility:
- Candidates who score exactly or above the required cut off mark.
- Candidates who chose Imo State Polytechnic, Umuagwo as their preferred choice of institution during the UTME Registration.
- Candidates are also required to obtain the required O’level credits for their programmes as specified in JAMB Brochure.
- Candidate must be at least 16 year of age
- Interested Candidates who did not choose Imo State Polytechnic, Umuagwo during the UTME Registration but wish to study in the polytechnic, should change to the IMOPOLY via JAMB website.
