The National Open University of Nigeria is a Federal Open and Distance Learning (ODL) institution, the first of its kind in the West African sub-region. The university was established in 2002. It is Nigeria’s largest tertiary institution in terms of student number and is popularly referred to as ‘NOUN’

WHAT IS SCHOOL FEES

School fees is a fee charged to students at a school, college, university or other place of learning that is in addition to any matriculation and/or tuition fees. Newly Admitted Students

  • Registration Fees 6,000.00

Total compulsory Fees ₦18,000.00.

NOUN Project Fees

  1. Undergraduates: ₦15,000.00.
  2. Post-Graduate Diploma: ₦25,000.00.
  3. Masters: ₦40,000.00.

NOUN Exams Registration Fees

  1. Undergraduates: ₦1,000.00 per course.
  2. Postgraduates (PGD and Masters) :₦2,000.00 per course.

Noun Courses Registration Fees

  1. unit course: ₦2,000.
  2. units course: ₦2,000
  3. units course: ₦2,500
  4. units course: ₦3,000

NOTE:
Course and examination registration fees for all categories of students remain unchanged for now I.e 2000 per 2credit unit course and 2500 per 3credit unit course.

The overall total of individual student fee will depend on the numbers of registered courses and their unit counts.

Compulsory fees are same amount (#18,000) for both first and second semester.

Please note that late payment would attract extra charges and failure to pay the fees on time would lead to the student inability to seat for their semester examination.
