Newly admitted students are all advised to go through the information provided below to confirm the acceptance fee to be paid by all fresh students of Federal University of Technology, Owerri.
FUTO Admission Acceptance Fee Amount
All successfully admitted candidates in the 2023/2024 Federal University of Technology Owerri, Futo admissions exercise (100 Level and Direct Entry) are expected to pay a non-refundable Acceptance Fee of N40,000 (Forty thousand naira) only.
All newly admitted students must pay their acceptance fee before they can print their admission notification letter and other related admission documents. Please note that the fee could change and this is at the discretion of the management of the University. So it is advised you reconfirm before making payment online.

Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) Acceptance Fee Payment Procedure
Kindly follow the step by step Procedure [instructions & guidelines] outlined below carefully to pay your FUTO acceptance fee online:
a) CHECK ADMISSION STATUS
- Login to futo.edu.ng
- Click on the link “Portal”
- Click on “New Students”
- Select “Check admission status”
- Enter your JAMB Registration number to view your admission notification slip
- Update O’ level verification details by clicking on the green link
- Enter your O’ level details as required and submit
b) ACCOUNT VERIFICATION
- Proceed to sign up and verify your portal account
- Select the required fields and enter a functional email address
- Submit your details. An email will be sent to your functional email address.
- Click on the link sent to your email to activate your account
- Copy your Username and Password and login into your portal account
c) PORTAL ACCOUNT
- In your portal account, change your password
- Complete your profile
- Generate an acceptance invoice
- Proceed to any bank for payment or alternatively, pay online with your ATM card
- Return to the portal for acceptance receipt
- Print admission letter and other particulars
- Generate school fee invoice
- Proceed to any bank for payment or alternatively, pay online with your ATM card
- Return to the portal for school fee receipt
Be informed that Federal University of Technology, Owerri acceptance fee is to be paid within the stipulated period as directed by the management of the institution as failure to comply means automatic forfeiture of admission.
