The general public are hereby informed that BSU cut off mark for admission into 2024/2025 academic session has been released by the management of the Benue State University (BSUM).

Benue State University is a state-owned university in Makurdi, Benue State, Nigeria. In 2006, student enrollment was over 19,000 served by 7 facilities 23 departments. It offers undergraduate and graduate programs with a catalog of over 58 graduate programs across 9 colleges/faculties. It is accredited by the National Universities Commission. The current Vice-chancellor is Professor Msugh Moses Kembe who took over from Professor Charity Angya on November 5, 2015.

The management of the Benue State University, Makurdi has released the cut-off mark for the 2024/2025 admission exercise. BSUM general Post-UTME minimum cut-off mark for the 2024/2025 academic session is 150 and above depending on the programme.

This will be the JAMB score that will be used for admission into BSU for the 2024/2025 academic session.

Due to the high number of students wishing to study at the university, the admission processes are competitive and an admission is given based on JAMB score and O’level grades.

BSUM Departmental Cut Off Mark

Departmental cut off mark is the minimum cut off mark for admission into various departments in a particular University.

The Departmental Cut of marks of Benue State University, Makurdi are as follows;

  • minimum of 200 cut-off mark for the following programmes:
    • Medicine & Surgery, Law
    • Nursing
    • Radiography & Radiation Science
    • Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science

NOTE: All candidates who applied for Law but scored between 150 and 199 may be considered for admission into any other programmes in the faculties of Arts, Social Sciences or Education. Also candidates who applied for Medicine & Surgery, Nursing Science, B.Sc. Radiography and Radiation Science and Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS) in the College of Health Sciences but scored between 150 and 199 shall be considered for any of Anatomy, Physiology and other allied Sciences’ programmes.

BSUM Post UTME Eligibility:

  • Candidates who score exactly or above the required cut off mark.
  • Candidates who chose Benue State University, Makurdi as their preferred choice of institution during the UTME Registration
  • Candidates are also required to obtain the required O’level credits for their programmes as specified in JAMB Brochure.
  • Candidate must be at least 16 year of age
  • Interested Candidates who did not choose Benue State University during the UTME Registration but wish to study in the University, should change to the BSU via JAMB website.
