The management of the Gombe State University has released the cut-off mark for the 2024/2025 academic session. GSU general Post-UTME minimum cut-off mark for the 2024/2025 admission exercise is 150 and above depending on the programme.
This will be the JAMB score that will be used for admission into GSU for the 2024/2025 academic session.

Due to the high number of students wishing to study at the university, the admission processes are competitive and an admission is given based on JAMB score and O’level grades.
GSU DEPARTMENTAL CUT OFF MARK
Departmental cut off mark is the minimum cut off mark for admission into various departments in a particular University.
The Departmental Cut of marks of Gombe State University are as follows;
- Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences – 150 Points and above
- Faculty of Education – 150 Points and above
- Faculty of Science – 170 Points and above
- 200 Points and above for the following programmers/courses

- MBBS
- Pharmacy
- Law
Candidates with less than 200 points particularly for Medicine, Pharmacy and Law Programmes, are advised to immediately change to other alternative Programmes such as;
i). Minimum JAMB scores of 180: B.Sc. Anatomy, Physiology or Biochemistry;
ii) Minimum JAMB scores of 170: B.Sc. Geology, Geography, Chemistry, Biology, Botany or Zoology, B.Sc. (B.Ed.) Chemistry, 8lology, Geography, Mathematics or Physics;
iii) Minimum JAMB score of 170 plus Inclusion of Mathematics in JAMB combination: B.Sc. Mathematics, Physics or Statistics, Computer Science; B.Sc. (Ed): Mathematics or Physics.

Note: The cut off mark for each varies depending on the performance of candidates who applied to study in the school for that year.
GSU Post UTME Eligibility:
- Candidates who score exactly or above the required cut off mark.
- Candidates who chose Gombe State University as their preferred choice of institution during the UTME Registration.
- Candidates are also required to obtain the required O’level credits for their programmes as specified in JAMB Brochure.
- Candidate must be at least 16 (Sixteen) of age.
- Interested Candidates who did not choose Gombe State University during the UTME Registration but wish to study in the University, should change to the GSU via JAMB website.
